Teaching Together in Europe
Teaching Together in Europe (TTE) is the name under which the three schools - The English College in Prague (ECP), The British School of Brussels (BSB) and St George’s British International School, Rome (StG)) have joined with Nottinghamshire Torch SCITT. Our partnership will offer optional placements to trainee teachers from the UK. These placements will be subject to an application and interview process and funded as part of the SCITT program and TTE partnership.
This is an exciting opportunity for trainee teachers who apply and are selected to visit an oversees British International School (under the umbrella of the COBIS training group) to undertake a 5-week placement. This placement is in addition to the two contracting placements and wider school experiences in the UK. All placements will offer trainee teachers the same quality of curriculum provision and mentorship support that is provided in the UK.
Nottinghamshire Torch SCITT also has a long standing partnership with a group of schools in Finland. All trainees will get the chance to apply for a short, funded trip to Jyvaskyla Teacher Training School in Finland - this usually takes place during the start of the second placement and is a mid-week group trip for the purposes of experiencing the Finnish education system and with an opportunity to teach. Such diverse opportunities both Internationally and within the UK was the main reasons NTS became NASBTTs 'Innovative Practice of the Year' award winners.
